Gift wrapping
At ibuTrade, our aim is to make gift giving more meaningful and convenient. An ibugift means more as it has been selected for its originality, its creation by highly skilled and fairly paid artisans and its minimal impact on our precious environment. An ibugift is convenient as it is sent directly to the recipient, saving time, money and energy. We can also personalise your gift with your own message or you can give the gift of choice with an ibuTrade Gift certificate.
Gift wrapping is optional for a small additonal cost. Your gift will be beautifully wrapped in stunning fair trade paper – handmade in Bangladesh from recycled paper, cotton off-cuts and agricultural "waste" like water hyacinth, banana fibre and straw – and finished with jute ribbon or twine. For larger items we use earthy recycled kraft paper with jute or raffia trimmings. For logistical reasons, some larger ibu gifts such as rugs cannot be gift wrapped. Gift tags are FREE or you may purchase a greeting card on ibuTrade, we can write a message in it at your request. Either way, simply type your message in the comments box in the checkout and we'll do the rest!
Delivery
Delivery within Australia is a flat fee of $6.50 for purchases under $20 and FREE for all ibuTrade purchases of $20 or more. Express Post is an additional charge and is quoted at the checkout.
For shipping to Australian addresses we use Australia Post and Fastway Couriers.
If your purchase is to be sent directly to a third party, please ensure that you enter their delivery address in the checkout where indicated.
For international deliveries, a postage surcharge will be added to the total payment depending on the recipient's location and the weight of the order. For example, a 500gm package to the UK will incur a $16.95 postage surcharge.
Orders are despatched within 2 working days of the payment being processed. We endeavour to despatch Express Post orders on the same day payment is processed. If your parcel is required urgently or by a particular date (eg a birthday),please advise us and we will do all we can to get your parcel there on time!
If you feel that your purchase is not delivered within a reasonable time, please contact us.
Packaging
We try to minimise the amount of packaging we use - so unless your lovely item needs a bit of extra care to reach you in perfect condition, you won't find a parcel full of unnecessary packaging. All our materials are reused or recycled. We collect bubble-wrap, air-cells, biodegradable packing "nuts", brown paper and newspaper from our purchases and our local community (Mum is an ace collecter!). Any purchased packing is recyclable (such as Australia Post or courier envelopes) or biodegradable.
